May Trail Work Opportunities - Lots to do
OK, I know many are heading up to the northern territories, ie X-Bar Ranch, for the final spring series TMBRA race.
But if you’re in town, take advantage of this cooler weather and ride wherever the trails are dry. And if you ride, you should also help out GHORBA and other assorted trail gnomes with some trail work.
Brandon’s got a confirmed work party tomorrow 8:30 AM at Collins Park, aka Cypresswood Trails.
Booker’s bound to find something for your to do at Jack Brooks Park. Go to Jack_Brook_Trails on Yahoo Groups to hook up with Booker or one of his team. Directions to JBP With the support of your membership dollars and the fundraising we do, we are supplying Booker with materials to repair the floating bridge.
The week after, we’ve got the monthly REI/GHORBA Terry Hershey Park Cleanup Saturday May 26, 10 AM. We will furnish trash bags, water and snacks. We recommend you bring gloves, sunblock and insect repellent. If the trails will be dry, we’ll take a ride afterwards! Directions to Dairy Ashford Parking Lot
Finally, keep Saturday June 2 Open for Massive Work Parties all Overs town—it’s National Trails Day dontchyaknow.
