2007 Sprockids Event this Sunday at Memorial Park
Our partners Melissa Juliano and Rick Sanders of HART, have kindly stepped forward to help organize the first Sprockids event of 2007.
We need GHORBA members and friends to help us fit DePelchin Center kids to bikes and helmets, introduce them to basic off-road bicycle riding skills, and give them an opportunity to ride a bit of trails at Memorial Park.
There are lots of jobs to do! Please bring your Camelback or backpack (to fit kids’ water bottles in), a fully charged cell phone and enthusiasm.
To volunteer for ~3 hours this Sunday, you must contact sprockids@ghorba.org. Sorry, DePelchin requests are that only adults are allowed to interact with the kids.
Besides the reward of putting a smile on a child’s face and introducing her to mountain biking, participants will also get some classic “GHORBA green” schwag!
