Cross Continental Cycling Seminar by REI
REI (Galleria) invites members and friends of GHORBA to a free seminar this Thursday, October 19th, at 7 PM, entitled “Cross Continental Cycling.”
Come hear the story of someone who cycled 4500 miles from Texas to Alaska over seventy days. You will see new footage and pictures of the amazing trip. You will also learn the essentials of bike touring, and what you need to set up your own long distance cycling expedition.
REI Galleria is at 7538 Westheimer Rd (corner of Voss and Westheimer).
Join GHORBA in the 35th Annual Buffalo Bayou Regatta
This is a 15-mile canoe and kayak race through the heart of our city, this Saturday October 21. We have access to two canoes and need two more crew members. Contact Veljko if you want to join Mike and him on this 2-3 hour “cruise.”
