Sun and Ski Sports presents the 2007 GHORBA Big Ring Challenge - On-Site Registration Starts at 12

The Race to Build Trails

The 2007 GHORBA Big Ring Challenge, presented by Sun & Ski Sports will take place on May 5th and 6th. This event promises to be better than ever.

This is the 6th Race of the 2007 Billy Kurtz State Farm Agent Texas Mountain Bike State Championship Series and the 6th time GHORBA is hosting the race.

The race takes place in the beautiful Sam Houston National Forest, at the Double Lake Recreational Area. Here are the directions to Double Lake

We have two slogans this year: The Race to Build Trails and Shop Local. As you might be aware, GHORBA is a 501.3c non-profit Trail Advocacy group (among other things) and all the money we gather goes back to building a strong mountain biking

...one of the best beginner courses in the State and certainly as part of the TMBRA race series.

Double Lake has the distinct advantage of being the only course in the area which has excellent soil and drainage …You can literally ride a day or even hours after it has rained without fear of damaging the course.

  6. Thank for the race….you guys did a great job!

    I was in the 40-49 age group…how can I found out how I placed?.....I was number: 697

  7. There were several photographers on site. The one I know of is commiebike.com, but it may take him a day or two to post them. The Toyota FJ Cruiser crew took shots of people in the FJs—giving out barcoded tags to get your picture on the net.

As for results, they will be posted on TMBRA.org
