Saturday April

 |
If you
recently participated in our skills clinic, this is a perfect
opportunity to try out your newly learned skills! Double Lake is a
non-technical venue that is fun for beginners and allows advanced
riders to sustain high speeds.
|
 |
Directions on
GOOGLE Maps
- only ~1 hour from Houston. |
 |
Participate in the work party
from 9 - 2 PM, or just join us for the group ride @ 2:30 PM
|
 |
Double Lake Rec. Area in the Sam
Houston National Forest is also the venue for GHORBA's premier race --
the
bhp billiton Big Ring Challenge coming up in May (a
great opportunity for first-time racers!)
|
 |
For the work party, we'll be working
on the race course. Your trail work experience level does not
matter--we will teach you what
you need to know.
You are encouraged to bring gloves,
safety glasses, a full Camelback,
trimming or clipping tools,
sunglasses or safety glasses,
and mosquito repellent.
|
 |
GHORBA will provide drinks and snacks. Lunch will be provided for the
volunteers at 2 PM.
|
 |
This work party qualifies for
Paydirt 2006 Spring Series
points. Paydirt is open to all volunteers and enters you into yearly
drawings worth thousands of dollars. Visit
tmbra.org for more Paydirt info. |
