GHORBA is proud to announce the return of the Big Ring Challenge for 2013

Where: The ever popular Double Lake Recreation Area near Coldspring, TX.

Will there be food? Food vendor (Brey's BBQ) will be on site, Saturday (Lunch and Dinner) and Sunday (Breakfast and Lunch). Drinks will also be sold.

Will there be beer? GHORBA will be selling a limited number of pint glasses made of silicon. The cup can be filled with beer generously provided by Karbach Brewing Co.

The Big Ring Challenge is a weekend mountain bike festival highlighted by a USA Cycling Mountain Bike Race on Sunday March 24, 2013. Sunday will feature the Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association (TMBRA) race with 45 classes between the Category 1, 2, and 3 races. Within the categories (which are delineated by ability) racers will be within a class of other racers in their age bracket. The course at Double Lake is a very beginner friendly course but also a favorite challenge of expert level racers for the speed and flow of the course.

Saturday March 23rd will be host to the Kid's Kup event open to children 12 and under. Children are taught bight safety and participate in a ride. The activities are capped off by a fun and non-competitive race divided into appropriate age groups. Additionally, we will also host our popular "Fun Olympics" where we compete in events such as the Ghost Ride, Bunny Hop Race, and the grand finale, the Huffy-Toss amongst other events.
