City of Houston reduces Memorial Park Bike Patrols
Recently, the City of Houston has reduced the number of active officers patrolling the trails to just two days per week. This is due to the lack of crime. As we all know, this low crime area is because of the involvement of officers back on the trails. Prevention is far cheaper than our safety, especially when the activity at the park has increased so substantially in the past couple of years.
Please email the mayors office at: mayor@cityofhouston.net and request that Qualified HPD officers patrol not only the park in general but also the multi-use Mountain bike trails on an everyday basis.
